YSCR - Southern Cross Airport, Western Australia
Note your sim must be up to date with all world updates installed. You do not need any photogrammetry installed, just the base world updates as I borrow scenery from those resources. I also recommend to install the UK2000 Scenery Library which is free in the Marketplace and used by many devs, including my work.
v 1.0
Southern Cross is a town in Western Australia, 371 kilometres (230.5 miles) east of state capital Perth on the Great Eastern Highway.
The town of Southern Cross is one of the many towns that run along the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme pipeline from Mundaring to Kalgoorlie, engineered by C. Y. O'Connor, and as a consequence is an important location on the Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail.
As usual I have been as true to the real life scenery as possible using resources such as Google Earth, Google Street view and pictures I find on the internet. However in this case I have taken the liberty to complete the paving of their main runway. Seems they only paved the first 200m at each end. Think of it as a government grant to finish the project - Its a sim and I enjoy creative license. This way the airport is what it is stated to be, an airport not an airstrip - plus it can be used at night. If this offends anyone who lives in Southern Cross well... leave a comment.
V 2.0
After over 100 hours using the SDK I am revisiting earlier work to apply new techniques and skills I have learned and wished I knew earlier. All of my previous airfields are getting attention, mainly to texturing of the ground and aprons, lines and lighting, and other subtle improvements and corrections.
This mod now has major improvements to the ground textures and taxiway markings on the apron. The apron markings now match real life scenery.
Added an optional dependency on Animated Human 3D Models Library for some extra eye-candy that I placed into the mod.
V 2.2 ( 10 Feb 24 )
Added the airport to the MSFS World Map GUI for visibilty and easier selection.
Added a boundary fence to the entire airfield to keep out the kangaroos.
Corrected two water towers that may not have been showing up for some people.
Added weight limit of 5700 kg sign to the GA apron.
V 2.3 ( 4 Mar 24 )
Added a Heli-start for you chopper pilots.
Made some minor additions whilst in the editor.
V 2.4 ( 21 Apr 24 )
Fixes a missing fence object that I have placed in much of my scenery not realising it was from other freeware and would not have appeared for anyone.
Tip:
Don't forget to reload your Little Navmap scenery library now and then in order to keep your new airfields accurately portrayed within it. This way all your new taxiway designations are updated among other things.
LNM automatically searches through your community folder during the process which runs in the background so you can keep simming.
From the menu bar of LNM: Scenery Library | Load Scenery Library | press Load. When finished, press Use Database.
Instructions:
Unzip and drop into your Community folder.
Enjoy.

Also, is the color actually blue? Or is this creative license? LOL
