This series of flights will take us to the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos Island archipelago is one of the best wildlife destinations in the world. Having been isolated from the world for thousands of years, they are home to unique animal species found nowhere else on Earth.
The Galapagos Island archipelago is a collection of 13 major islands, seven smaller islands and about 125 islets and rocks. They lie about 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) off the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean and are some of the world’s most secluded islands.
There are 4 separate bushtrips starting from the southern islands on the eastside - flying north - then to the west - and back to the south.
Only 3 airports are active in the archipelago. I've created 7 fictional simple bush airstrips, thus bringing the total available landing places to 10.
The main goal of the trips is sight seeing. The airplane is the DA40-NG Asobo with assistance settings set to easy (some of these can be changed). There are also icons that show the way to get to the waypoints and final destination.
Seven languages are included : English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The translations were made with google translate and are not linguistically corrected. They are to be taken for what they are.
Flightbooks (pdf) only in English language are included separately.
Installation :
- unzip the Encounter Galapagos Islands.zip file
- there are 3 folders in the unzipped file :
1) the folder "Encounter Galapagos Islands Bush trips" with 4 folders in it - put all 4 folders in your community folder
2) the folder "Galapagos bush airstrips" with 7 folders in it - put all 7 folders also in your community folder
3) the folder "Flightbooks" with the flightbooks in pdf format (this folder may not be put in the community folder - place the flightbooks folder, for example, in your documents folder).
Thanks to BuffyGC for the BushTripInjector tool and to Alexander Barthel for 'Little Nav Map'.
If you want the possibility to choose the plane, the weather, the time of day and the season (and some other goodies), then you should take a look at the experimental program - MissionChanger - also created by BuffyGC.
* * * *MINOR UPDATE 16/04/2023* * * *
This is a minor update - it is a revision of the waypoint comments. The general direction to follow to reach a waypoint is now stated at the beginning of the appropriate waypoint comments.

Great work, btw, but would you be able to tell me which of the includes airstrips is SEGS? They're only numbered 01-07. Thanks.

The 7 added landing strips are fictional and have no official ICAO code.
The other 3 airports are official airports that are available in MSFS by default with their ICAO code :
San Cristobal (SEST)
Seymour (SEGS)
Isabela (SEII)

Thank you very much for your rating - when testing these bush trips I was surprised by the impressiveness of the volcanoes.
