Douglas DC-3 (CC-129 Dakota Mk. IV) RCAF KN269
This variation of the classic RCAF DC-3 livery is based on the Douglas C-47B Dakota 4, registration KN269 from 1964.
607 civil variants of the Douglas Commercial DC-3; and 10,048 military C-47 Skytrain and C-53 Skytrooper variants were built at Santa Monica, California, Long Beach, California, and Oklahoma City. None were built in Canada, but many have been refurbished at a number of Canadian plants including Winnipeg and Montreal. The RAF and the RCAF designated the aircraft as a Dakota.

Thank you for painting this livery, love it! Now I can go on to beg someone to make a C-5 (Canadair) aircraft model for MSFS and get it painted.

I did a double take on this one because I thought it was one I have seen in real life. Thanks for bringing an RCAF paint to the C-47!
I know the owner of a similar one (N472AF/KG668) which is currently flying as a warbird here in the US. I hope you might consider a variation of your paint to replicate it

Just curious: how come your friend stripped all of the RCAF badges from that one? There's one pic with that plane next to an USAF version, but that one still retains all of its markings. Is it a law in the US that you cannot have a foreign badged aircraft?

This is superb and clean! Thank you.
Any chance you may be able to replicate these versions?

I'm actually working on the first request, with the Canadian flag. Might be ready for this afternoon, early tomorrow morning. However, it's the KN258 Search and Rescue version which still says RCAF and not CANADA on the side. If you find a RCAF Search and Rescue DC-3 with CANADA on the side without the whole RCAF, send it to me please, I might end up doing that one. My goal is to make 3 variations of the same livery, and early one, this one and a "late" one.
As for the Canucks version, I'm afraid it's just too complicated for me at the moment. Maybe in the future?
