" I am sure I will never forget the 27th September 1987...South Africa was involved in a "war" with Angola. We , that is 3 Squadron, were deployed at AFB Rundu in the north of Namibia. Our role was Combat Air Patrol. Our troops had been interfered with by the Angolan MIG's and gun ships and we are there to try and stop their interference. Thankfully since the withdrawal of SA troops from Angola in 1988 there has been no reason for conflict with our neigbours. This is my recollection of the events leading up to the accident. It was approximately 1500B (local) on 27th September 1987 when all hell broke loose. There had been numerous call-outs previously which proved to be nothing at all, so when the "hot-line" started ringing there was very little reaction from us. However this time the call wasn't to go on cockpit standby like before, but rather a call to scramble immediately. The letter I was writing went flying as I scrambled to get into the cockpit. In a matter of minutes we were screaming down the runway. I was lucky I was number two in the formation as it was about 45 deg C outside and the take-off was hair-raising. How numbers three, four, five and six got airborne I don't know.

Nice looking livery, curious what the weights are for the pylons and attachments.

Thanks a lot for this beautiful liverie its very much appreciated. The SAAF and the Israeli Air Force have the most attractive camouflage on their jets. Sadlywise it does not work for me I also got a pink version. It would be most helpful to include a small Readme file of how exactly to go about not everybody is a professional like speaking of newbies when it comes to copying liveries into the MSFS directorys. BTW: It would be simply great to see a SAAF Mirage IIICZ in the bare metal finish with the red flash. Thanks once more for a great liverie

You're welcome, I've tried to get the bare metal .......bare metal but have not figured it out yet. I will be working on the SAAF livery this weekend, hopefully will get them to work with both models. I have not been able to make a standalone install, just does not seem to work for me. Hope someone who know how will give it a try.

what a great plane fun to play with it would be good if you did one without tanks and all the stuff under the wing so you can really toss it around the sky

Hi, you can use the switches on the bottom right-side panel to remove all payloads.

Thank you for keeping this updated. I spent 1978 to 1980 at AFB Waterkloof, where I mainly serviced the ejection seats. I absolutely love this bird!

It does not seem to work - the texture shows pink pixels - please advise- I have copied it straight into the main plane folder where the other surfaces are.

I did replace aircraft.cfg and Layout folder in your main MRF1v1.2 folder. Add the texture folder to the MRF1 folder
