Globe Life Field is a stadium in Arlington, Texas, that is the current home of the Texas Rangers baseball team since its opening in 2020. The ballpark replaced the Texas Rangers' former home of The Ballpark in Arlington (still standing across the street, and now known as Choctaw Stadium) after only about 25 years of operation. Globe Life was one of the hosts of the 2020 Major League Baseball postseason (a 'bubble' setup due to the COVID-19 pandemic), including that year's World Series.
The new park sports a retractable roof, climate control, and a polarizing modernistic design. Immediately adjacent to the new stadium are a hotel and nightlife destination, constructed at the same time as the stadium itself. Like its predecessor, Globe Life Field was designed by the architectural firm HKS. It is located just down the street from AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.
Features
- Replacement of the default photogrammetry model for Globe Life Field with a fully handmade model, as well as the adjacent Loews hotel and Texas Live ballpark village.
- PBR texture mapping used throughout
- LOD models implemented
- Customized night lighting (including night-time emissive textures, as well as area lighting applied in Blender or with MSFS default lights)
- Some light terraforming and vegetation tweaks in the area around the stadium.
- NEW IN UPDATE 1.5
- Much improved model materials, utilizing PBR textures
- Added the Live by Loews hotel and Texas Live shopping center, both adjacent to the stadium. Both include PBR and emissive textures.
- Did a general cleanup on the photogrammetry vegetation in the vicinity of the stadium. Also found and removed a few photogrammetry artifacts around the default AT&T Stadium, not fully removed by Asobo's exclusion polygons.
- All re-compiled using latest SDK. - NOTE: Now that Arlington has native photogrammetry, the aerial photo I compiled for the initial release is no longer needed. I've removed it from the download package; you should also delete the package "whitearcades-glfaerial" from your Community folder, if it's still in there.
NOTE: Six Flags Over Texas, visible just to the northeast in some screenshots, is my own creation.
Limitations and notes
- Roof does not open. Sorry.
- The lit-up logos on the roof don't exactly match how they actually appear in real life (where only the outlines are lit up). I did model them that way originally, but couldn't get the lighting to show up consistently from anywhere except right on top of the park, so had to compromise.

I think this might conflict with the Dallas mod. I deleted that mod, and then installed this updated Globelife. Flew over it(looks great and improved btw).
I then removed this mod, put the Dallas one back and flew over Dallas to make sure it still worked. Then I added this mod, and when I flew over Dallas, Dallas(mod) looked fine but then Globelife old Arlington Stadium looked like the older version. I deleted the old version before installing(I believe I did anyways).

This addon shouldn't be touching the old ballpark at all (if I'm understanding your comment correctly); I only modeled the new stadium and made exclusion/vegetation polygons for that immediate block. So the old stadium should still look like the default 3D imagery whether or not mine is installed.
I'm out of town now so I won't be able to look at this for another couple weeks, but what's the Dallas mod you were checking compatibility with?
EDIT: Also worth noting that FreakyD (I think it was them) did the version of the old Rangers ballpark that appears in the screenshots (based on the Google 3D imagery). I originally called that out in my addon description, but now that Asobo's added in native 3D imagery that seemed redundant to include. That might account for why what you see doesn't exactly match what's in my screenshots.
