This is an extensive model matching VMR File for VATSIM intended for use with the VPILOT application.
I initially created a base file using a modelmatching file generator which you can get Here, I then spent roughtly 5 days writing a VMR and adding different airlines and ICAO codes to create what I believe to be the most extensive model matching file for VATSIM that is avialble for MSFS. So i had to share this with you guys.
-----For this VMR to work you must use the liveries available from the amazing livery creators here on flightsim.to, if you see an error message saying "failed to create etc etc" download that livery.
Things to note:
- This does not use the IVAO file.
- This does not currently include 737, ATR and various other models available on Flightsim.to but it is quite easy for you to add these if you wish. Models missing will be rendered with either a model which is similar.. I.e E145 = CRJ7, 737 = A320 or unfortunately if vpilot cannot find one then the generic two engine asobo.
- For this VMR to work you must use the files I have in my community folder which are available from the amazing livery creators here on flightsim.to (see pictures)
- I am not planning to regularly update this file however for my own enjoyment I probably will so I will upload when I have made significant updates.
- Any models you do not have i.e CRJ will be displayed as generic.
- Any missing airlines should be rendered as certain models relevant to the aircraft type (If you have the liveries I use downloaded)
- If you encounter problems i.e all British Airways being displayed as Air berlin and you know you have the correct BA livery, reinstall VPILOT.
- There is an issue with the a330 and a321 that will display the first model that loads in no matter the rule so unfortunately whichever livery load in first for the a330 or a321 will be repeated across any aircraft of the same type.
I really hope you guys enjoy this file its already added so much to the immersion for myself.
Please do not re upload this file anywhere. If you wish to share the file please link people to this page. But do feel free to edit for your own use.

Good job! I find this interesting since I never seem to get my own VMR-files from Model Matching Magic to work that well (too many generic rendations). However with your file I get a lot of error messages because I don't have the same liveries as you do. Can you create a package of these perhaps? Or how am I supposed to match your models exactly? It's a lot of acft. I used the (now discontinued) MegaPacks, however they give me a lot of pink textures. It would be extremely tedious to download all liveries manually. I try to find a solution with models without pink parts and with working lights (after SU6 that destroyed them). With the light fix from flightsim.to I seem to get VATSIM lights on some aircraft at least, maybe even all when watching from a distance. A bit annoying all this since it worked pretty well before.

Hey mate it took a bit of figuring out and I started by deleting as many “AI” as I could fin and then started adding manually. All of the liveries I use are from flightsim.to not the obsolete project mega pack which has now completely gone as PMP closed down. Unfortunately I won’t be able to create a package as that would be sharing other people’s work which I’m sure they wouldn’t mind but contacting each creator for their permission would take longer than someone downloading them all on here. It is a huge list I know but all the liveries are on here what I may be able to do is put up images of each of the folders I have in my community to try and help people. It’s a lot of trial and error I’d say.
If you are getting pink textures that is because of sim update 5 the fix for that is on here search “livery fix” on flightsim.to and you’ll find the file you use to fix the pink textures.
I didn’t know there was a light fix so thanks for letting me know I’ll get that downloaded!

do i need to run vatsim to see ai or susbscribe to vatsim to enjoy ai ?
vatsim doesnt use ai, if your settings are correct you should only see real world players, thus the need for a vmr file to show the aircraft and liveries the players use

I have never had these model matching files to work, ever. I've tried like 5 now, i don't what is it that i'm doing wrong. I have my ivao_x_csl in my community folder, i got the files in the right order and everything. Whatever I do, I keep getting these random generic aircraft with blank liveries

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling vpilot? In the making of this vmr file i had to reinstall vpilot 4 times, it doesnt like change. I recommend using only 1 file to see if it works as multiple will conflict. Mine does not use the IVAO files.
