Mission 6: Beluga (PABG) to Sheep Mountain (PASP)

This is the sixth exploration trip into “rugged” Alaska. In this trip we’ll be running a mail run of sorts: Departing Beluga Airstrip (PABG), travelling along the northern side of Cook Inlet (Anchorage to our south side), then northeast along the Knik Arm into the city of Palmer then following the Matanuksa River (and the Glenn Hwy (Alaska Route 1) eastward to Sheep Mountain (PASP. We’re making all regular stops If you’re up to it!. 

The Route/Itinerary:

Departure: Beluga (PABG)

Stop at Fire Island (6AK5) 

Stop at Goose Bay (Z40)

Optional Stop or touch and go at Brown Low Point (AK99)

Optional Stop or touch and go at Tidewater Bluffs (77AK)

Optional Stop or touch and go at Bluff Park Farm (71AK)

Optional Stop or touch and go at Jack Fish landing (7AK4)

Stop at Fairview East (58AK)

Stop at Sky Ranch at Pioneer Peak (AK50)

Stop at Vinduska (7AK9)

Stop at King Ranch (AK59)

Destination: Sheep Mountain (PASP)     Total Distance: 120 nm.

 

Aircraft:  Asobo XCub

 

Mission Installation: 

Extract the zip file and move/place the extracted mission folder into the community folder. Start/restart the sim and this mission will be found via the Home Page > Activities > Bush 

Trips >     BELUGA TO SHEEP MOUNTAIN

                Alaska (XCub)       

To uninstall simply remove the mission folder from your community folder.

NOTE: For those of you who don't like "missions" per say, I have included the flight plan (both LNM and MSFS version) on which this bush trip is based as well as have included a sky vector map link for those who might want to remove any automated nav aids and navigate via static map, dead reckoning and marking land marks to ascertain position. (But make sure you grab your watch or E6B just in case: don’t want to get lost!)
